WRITE & ORGANIZE

Text tools

Style your text, remove spaces, change case, and tidy up a draft in one workspace.

Your text workspace

Processed on your device

Up to 100,000 characters. English-style word counting; see the method below.

Font & fancy text gallery

Type above to preview every style. Copy a favorite directly, or send it to the Result box for further editing.

Previews show the first 70 characters; Copy uses your whole input. Empty input shows a sample. Styles use Unicode characters, not a font file. Appearance and screen-reader support vary by app. Some effects have partial alphabets or change capitalization.

Spaces & lines

Remove spaces & tabs keeps line breaks. Remove all whitespace also deletes line breaks.

Lists & alignment

Centering adds ordinary spaces and looks best in monospace. Apps may collapse these spaces. Long lines are not cut.

Repeat, shuffle & blank text

Blank text uses U+2800 (Braille Pattern Blank), which looks empty but is a real character. Apps may reject or display it differently. It does not make text private.

Encode & format

Encoding is not encryption. Results appear in the editable Result box. JSON formatting may change very large numbers; avoid using it on numbers beyond JavaScript's safe integer range.

Compare two texts line by line

Comparison uses your input on the left and result on the right. An inserted line shifts the following comparisons; this is a same-position comparison, not an editorial diff.

From a messy list to usable text

These tools help with copied notes, vocabulary lists, drafts, and short documents. Paste your original text on the left and choose one action. The result appears on the right, leaving your original available for comparison. To combine actions, choose “Use result as input” before the next action.

Make copyable bold, italic, and other text styles

Enter text and browse the gallery, search for a style name, or filter by Letter styles, Effects, and Decorated. Choose Copy to copy that variation, or Use result to put it in the editable result box. For example, Hello 123 becomes 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝟏𝟐𝟑 in Bold. These are different Unicode characters rather than formatting applied to a font. They can be copied into apps that support those characters, but the appearance depends on the destination.

Letter styles convert English A–Z letters and supported digits. Effects include small capitals, superscript, a partial subscript alphabet, combining marks, spacing, and reversal. Decorated styles add simple frames around your text. Small capitals and raised/lowered letters intentionally change or lose capitalization; the partial subscript alphabet leaves unsupported letters unchanged. Letter styles leave accented letters, other scripts, emoji, and punctuation unchanged. Effects such as reversal and combining marks may change their position or appearance. Italic and bold italic leave digits plain. The Plain text option converts the 16 letter-style alphabets back to ordinary letters and numbers; it is not a universal formatting remover.

Use ordinary text for long passages, accessible documents, searchable labels, and worksheet word lists. Some screen readers pronounce styled symbols differently, and some apps show missing-character boxes or count them differently.

Collect symbols and format a list

The symbol picker groups hearts, stars, arrows, shapes, nature, music, and brackets. Click characters to collect them, then copy the collection or append it to your input. A symbol may look different depending on the receiving app and device.

List tools use one nonempty input line per item and add numbers, bullets, or dashes. Center text adds leading ordinary spaces to the chosen width, without wrapping or cutting longer lines. It is intended for monospace text; many social apps collapse repeated spaces.

Remove spaces without losing the wrong content

Remove spaces & tabs deletes horizontal whitespace, including nonbreaking spaces, while preserving line breaks. Remove all whitespace joins everything: “hello world” becomes “helloworld”, and separate lines also join. Remove blank lines keeps the content and spacing of nonempty lines. Make one line replaces whitespace runs with a single ordinary space.

These actions do not add invisible characters or hide content. Compare the result before replacing your original. Choose Use result as input to combine a spacing action with a font style.

Choose the transformation you actually need

  • Clean spacing trims the start and end of each line, replaces runs of spaces or tabs with one space, and limits consecutive blank lines to one. It preserves ordinary paragraph boundaries.
  • Remove duplicate lines trims each line, removes empty lines, and keeps the first copy of each exact line. Matching is case-sensitive: Apple and apple remain different entries.
  • Sort lines orders nonempty lines using English locale rules with numeric ordering. Item 2 appears before Item 10. It does not remove duplicates or alter the wording.
  • Uppercase and lowercase change letter case. Capitalize Each Word lowercases the text first, then capitalizes each word; it does not apply editorial title rules. Sentence case lowercases the text and capitalizes the start and letters after a line break or sentence punctuation followed by whitespace. Both can change names and acronyms, so review the result. These actions do not check grammar.

Replace, repeat, and create blank text

Find & replace matches literal text, including punctuation, with case-sensitive matching. It does not use regular expressions. An empty replacement removes each match. Repeat text adds your chosen separator between copies and limits the result to one million characters. Shuffle changes the order of nonempty lines and keeps duplicate entries; it is a casual list helper, not an audited prize draw.

Generate blank text creates the requested number of U+2800 characters. The output box can look empty while containing characters: use Copy result and test in the destination. This character is not an ordinary space and is not removed by ordinary whitespace cleanup. Some apps reject it in names or posts.

Encoding and formatting examples

URL component encoding converts hello world to hello%20world. Use it for an individual value rather than an entire URL. Decoding reverses percent encoding; a plus sign stays a plus sign. Base64 converts UTF-8 bytes to text: Hello becomes SGVsbG8=. The decoder accepts standard padded Base64 and rejects invalid UTF-8; it is not a file decoder or encryption tool.

Binary conversion uses eight digits for each UTF-8 byte, separated by spaces. A becomes 01000001; emoji and accented characters use multiple bytes. The URL slug helper makes lowercase Latin letters and digits separated by hyphens, removing other scripts. Preview it before using it as a URL.

Escape HTML replaces ampersands, angle brackets, and quotes with character references; it does not render the input. Format JSON adds indentation and Minify JSON removes unnecessary whitespace. Both require valid JSON. Duplicate keys can be lost and very large numeric values may lose precision, so preserve the original source.

How the word counter works

Words are groups of letters or numbers, with internal apostrophes or hyphens kept together. “Don't stop” is two words; “well-known” is one. Character counts include spaces and line breaks and count Unicode code points, so a combined emoji can contain more than one character. Other editors may count punctuation, emoji, or non-English scripts differently.

Reading time assumes 200 words per minute and is only an estimate. A 400-word draft is approximately two minutes; instructions, diagrams, and unfamiliar vocabulary can take longer.

Example: prepare a spelling list

Paste one word per line, clean spacing, then remove duplicate lines. Check capitalization and spelling before moving the result into the worksheet maker. That tool accepts English words of 2–16 letters, with no spaces within an entry.

Compare before replacing

The comparison shows changed lines at the same line number. It is useful for checking case and spacing changes. If you insert a paragraph near the top, many later rows may differ because their positions moved. It is not a plagiarism detector, grammar checker, or proof that two documents have the same meaning.

Your text is processed locally. Download TXT saves a UTF-8 file, and Copy uses your clipboard only when selected. Reloading clears the workspace; it is not a document backup.
