Weekly time card calculator

Add up a week of shifts, subtract breaks, and print your daily breakdown.

Enter your week

Example: five 8-hour days. Replace these times with your own. Uncheck days you do not want to include. Reloading clears your changes.

Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday

An earlier end time automatically means tomorrow. “Ends next day” also allows a full 24 hours when start and end match.

YOUR RESULTEnter values to begin

Clock times only: no timezone, daylight saving, overtime, wage calculation, or payroll rounding. A shift belongs to the day it starts.

How to total a weekly time card

For each included day, subtract the start time from the finish time in minutes. Add 1,440 minutes if the shift ends tomorrow, then subtract the unpaid break. Add the exact daily minutes before converting the weekly total to hours.

Weekly minutes = sum of (daily elapsed minutes − unpaid break minutes)

A five-day example

Monday through Friday, 09:00–17:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break each day gives 480 minutes per day. Five days × 480 = 2,400 minutes, or 40 hours. Saturday and Sunday are excluded in the initial example.

A week with different shifts

Four 8-hour days and one 7-hour 45-minute day total 39 hours 45 minutes, or 39.75 decimal hours. Minutes are divided by 60, not by 100. Daily decimal displays are rounded to four places; the weekly total uses exact minutes.

Overnight shifts and week boundaries

Enter 22:00–06:00 for an eight-hour overnight shift. A 30-minute break reduces that to 7 hours 30 minutes. The whole shift is assigned to its starting day, even if a Sunday shift ends Monday. This tool does not split a shift between payroll weeks.

Printing and keeping your result

Calculate to refresh the breakdown, then choose Print. Your browser can print on paper or save a PDF. The site does not save your time card, so keep your own copy before closing the page. Copy result includes the daily breakdown.

Common questions

Can I exclude a day?

Yes. Uncheck Include for that day. Its time fields are disabled and do not affect the result. Excluding every day gives zero.

Does it calculate overtime?

No. This tool adds durations. Overtime and paid-break rules depend on the rules that apply to your work and must be handled separately.

What if I work a split shift?

Add the actual gaps you intend to exclude to the break field, or calculate each session with the hours calculator and add those durations with the time calculator.
